How Do You Use Technology?

I am constantly amazed to see how much we can do when it comes to technology.  It is a very powerful, productive, and thought provoking tool to use especially today in education.  Coupled with a proper standards-driven curriculum, teachers set the stage for student learning at the speed of light.  With all the information and software applications that exist on the net along with the I Phones, I Touches, I Pads, computers, and other electronic devices, the sky is the limit!  It facilitates communication, globally, and literally allows everyone using it to be on the same page at the same time. The world has become a lot smaller by its use.   As we enter the information age with singular glee and an ever growing list of new electronic and communication gadgets, there is nothing stopping us from learning what this technology can do and using it in our classrooms.
The limit to our students' learning is virtually dependent on what we allow ourselves to teach them.  And this in turn is dependent on what we have learned ourselves.  We owe it to our students, and ourselves, to redesign our instruction to allow our students to learn with technology.  Not only do they learn their core subjects but they also learn all the technological skills they can apply later in their lives in future educational opportunities and jobs.  We our preparing our students for the future in the 21st century classroom.
